I’ll be giving a talk on 28 Queen Street, Edinburgh – a history of the New Town from Robert Allan, first owner of the house and proprietor of the Caledonian Mercury, through a multitude of incarnations to the HQ of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and finally the town home of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society – to the Broughton History Society on 2nd February 2026, McDonald Road Library 18.00 for 18.30.
